Where Academics Meet Innovation
Rigorous core subjects, real-world tech skills, and confident learners—starting before Kindergarten.

Core Academic Subjects
STEAM and Coding Progression
Kindergarten –2nd grade: Explore & Experiment
In the early grades, students are introduced to technology through creativity, exploration, and play. They begin using block-based coding tools to build simple animations, tell digital stories, and solve basic problems. STEAM learning happens hands-on through building challenges, art-infused projects, and early robotics play. The goal? Spark curiosity and confidence from day one.
3rd – 5th grade: Build & Design
As students grow, so do their skills. In upper elementary, learners move from play to purpose—designing their own games, experimenting with beginner-friendly robotics, and diving deeper into digital design and logic. They begin exploring how websites are structured and how technology solves real-world problems. Collaboration, creativity, and computational thinking come alive in every lesson.
6th – 8th Grade: Create & Launch
By middle school, Della students are full creators—building responsive websites, coding basic apps, and developing digital portfolios that showcase their unique talents. They tackle real-world challenges, practice ethical tech use, and build teamwork through project-based STEAM work. Capstone projects in 8th grade demonstrate how far they’ve come and prepare them for high school, tech careers, and beyond.
Whole-Child Learning
Educating the Mind—Nurturing the Heart
At Della School of Coding and Design, we believe that great education means more than test scores. Our whole-child approach ensures that every student is seen, supported, and inspired—not just as a learner, but as a growing person.
We focus on developing emotional intelligence, healthy habits, and real-world skills alongside rigorous academics. When students feel safe, confident, and cared for, they thrive—in the classroom and beyond.
- Social Emotional Learning: Students participate in daily SEL check-ins and activities that help them build empathy, regulate emotions, and practice healthy communication. We use evidence-based strategies to support mental wellness and teach conflict resolution, self-awareness, and resilience.
- Movement and Physical Wellness: Every student deserves time to move, breathe, and grow physically strong. From daily movement breaks and outdoor play to structured physical education, we prioritize activity that supports both health and focus. Our goal: healthy bodies that fuel healthy minds.
- Creative Expression and the Arts: Imagination and innovation go hand in hand. Through visual arts, music, design, and STEAM projects, students learn to express themselves while strengthening creative problem-solving. Art is never “extra”—it’s a core part of how we think and learn.
- Mentorship and Student Voice: Small group mentoring, student-led goal setting, and leadership opportunities help students build confidence and take ownership of their growth. We cultivate a culture where student voice is valued and kids are empowered to speak up, lead, and support one another.
- Support for Every Learner: Whether a student needs extra support, enrichment, or both—we meet them where they are. Through individualized instruction, small-group sessions, and a compassionate teaching team, every child gets what they need to succeed.
Why Our K-8th Model Works
One School. One Journey. Limitless Possibility.
At Della School of Coding and Design, students don’t have to jump between schools every few years—they grow with us. Our K–8 model gives students the stability, consistency, and deep relationships they need to thrive throughout their most formative years.
Here’s what sets it apart:
Strong, Lasting Relationships
With one school community from Kindergarten through 8th grade, students build meaningful bonds with teachers, staff, and peers. This trust creates a safe environment where students feel known, valued, and supported year after year.
Smooth Transitions & Accelerated Growth
Instead of “starting over” every few years, our students seamlessly progress through a carefully planned academic arc. They build confidence in their skills and independence in their learning—without the stress of constant change.
Leadership in the Middle Grades
Our 6th–8th graders don’t get lost in a giant middle school. They shine as leaders, mentors, and innovators. Through capstone projects, peer tutoring, tech showcases, and student voice initiatives, they model what it means to be capable, kind, and future-ready.
Consistent Expectations & Results
With one school culture from K–8, our students grow up understanding our values, routines, and academic standards. That consistency drives real progress—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Ready for High School—and the Future
By 8th grade, Della students are more than prepared for high school. They’re presenting portfolios, writing real code, engaging in civic discussions, and thinking critically about the world around them. They leave Della with the skills and confidence to lead in any setting.
A True Sense of Belonging
Our students don’t just attend school—they grow up in a community that celebrates who they are. From Kindergarten through 8th grade, every child is part of a close-knit, inclusive environment where they are seen, supported, and empowered to be their authentic self.
